I did not buy Sandman: overture because I am waiting for the Absolute version. Have pre-ordered Infinite Crisis & Batman : Year One, but Identity Crisis is a waste of money IMO as there is absolutely (no pun intended) nothing new added from the Tpb

So far I have:
  • Watchmen
  • Top 10
  • The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, Vol. 2
  • The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, The Black Dossier
  • DC: The New Frontier
  • Batman: Hush
  • Batman: The Long Halloween
  • Sandman Vol's I-V
  • All-Star Superman
  • Luthor/Joker
  • Promethea Vol's I-III
  • Identity Crisis
  • Crisis on Infinite Earths
  • Justice
  • Kingdom Come

DC: The New Frontier, Watchmen & Crisis on Infinite Earths are musts! Especially Watchmen with the new colouring, but I think that is replicated in new printings later on

I would have gone for the Deluxe version instead. Preacher is not one of those titles that needs the Absolute treatment IMO. amazon.co.uk are offering a HC with the first 12 issues with the first season of Preacher

I appreciate the advise... though it's a tad late lol... but even still. I've decided all I want on my shelf are Absolute editions and Omnibus books. Unless it's a TPB or HC of something involving Thanos I cannot get in an Omnibus format. I just don't like the looks of anything else.

Amazon packaging for books is horrible. Instocktrades.com has it cheaper and they have the best packaging for tp/hc.

If it's anything like cheapgraphicnovels after the exchange rate and shipping it's far from "cheap". I compared 2 books together in an order from CGN and amazon. After the exchange rate CGN was about $30 cheaper BUT then they quoted something ridiculous like $110 shipping.

Amazon packaging for probably everything is terrible. It's all about getting stuff out as fast as possible. Even with statues you are lucky if you get a person who realizes that they are shipping something fragile.

If a book isn't wrapped in plastic, I don't even bother ordering from Amazon as I know chances are the condition won't be right.

Instocktrades is 99% of the time cheaper and they pack super safe. Moved my graphic novel buying from amazon over to them
