Unfortunately the decision is out of our hands. It was not allowed to be included per the licensor. Though folks won't believe me, the piece doesn't need a light-up feature to still be quite beautiful and an amazing piece or art. Deathwing has so much presence and details that frankly it's quite incredible without the light up feature.

I do believe you. I personally thought the piece would look better without a light up feature when painted pics first surfaced. I'm actually extremely glad that there isn't a light up feature, because the painted prototypes we saw look amazing and i feel they convey that glow well. Unfortunate that there isnt an ex/regular with/ and without light-up to please both crowds.

Regardless cant wait till this goes up for pre order!

Deathwings chest is always lit! Why would they want an inaccurate representation....

The light up was there too as we saw the switch and AC adaptor socket in the proto pics...

It's even weirder that they put one in Arthas and his was so minuscule and didn't do anything for him really, Deathwing is a must...

its def on the prototype that was shown at SDCC.
and with seeing the switch and ac adapter socket is a sure sign that SS wanted to give it a light up feature.


and as true as it may be. i just find it hard to believe that Blizzard would be against a real light up feature for a character that they designed that is consistently lit up from the fire burring within it.
i feel Blizzard def made a poor decision on not allowing a light up feature.
doing both, the fire glow paint app along with the real light up feature would have def been the way to go. just as they did for Diablo. looks incredible when the light is off. then looks phenomenal when the light is on.

its still a killah piece and ill more than liely get it.

nope I would take light up over that, this doesn't look to be overdone like the mythos vader or sauron. I hate that effect they go for, the factories just cant achieve it

I don't like light-ups either. It's one of the factors that turned me off Arthas. Sure, I can never turn it on but just the thought of it being there disturbs me.

Why wouldn't you want a light up feature to show the character as accurately as possible!?!
