Hacksaw Ridge 6/10
Impostor 9/10

Impostor is my favorite adaptation of a Philip K Dick Story into a movie, at least right up there with Blade Runner. I like it better than Total Recall, Running Man, Miniority Report, Adjustment Bureau (although to be fair that had Damon in it so was bound to suck), Paycheck, Scanner Darkly, or Next.

It got fairly low reviews I think because the story it is based on is only 6 pages so it had to be fleshed out quite a bit but I really liked it. If you've never seen it check it out.

Well that's enough for me a to search out Impostor. I love Philip K Dick and Blade Runner is my 2nd favorite film of all time. I think I blew that film off as some sci-fi B movie not worth my attention. Had no idea it was a PKD adaptation, so thanks for the recommendation.

That the one with Gary Sinese? If so I wasn't a fan. Then again it's been like 15 years since I last saw it. Just remember not being very impressed by it.

Yes that's the one, and that is also the concensus opinion of it. But I really liked it.

Ghost in the Shell - 4/10

I hoped for something much better. Someone please stop giving SJ these action movie leading roles. Whenever I see her in something, I'm thinking Emily Blunt or Zoe Saldana could have done it way better.

Jimi: All Is by My Side - 5.5/10
- Not really an autobiography as none of his hits were featured in the film. Also, it barely covered a year of his (early) career before it actually took off. Odd.

Snatched - 6/10. Some funny and daring moments but nothing really new here. You will get a decent chuckle or two, even if you dislike Schumer.

Ghost in the Shell (2017)

Despite what the critics said, I thought Ghost in the Shell was pretty good. While it can be slow in places, the action sequences work well enough, and the special effects look impressive. At the end of the day, all is made clear on the subject of being a ghost in a shell.

I've watched the Blu-ray twice in two days, and it improves on the second viewing.

7.5/10
