I've heard him say that and also say lower numbers are fine with him on some things. None of knows until they each go up for PO.
What have the final ES's been on the Marvel pieces? (I know you have/are getting a few)
If it is 388 or higher, that certainly would make me more comfortable. I would still doubt that the a high ES of the trinity pieces would continue as the line goes on. I can't imagine MM, Aquaman or even Flash would be as high as WW/Supes/Batman.

Cap was 388. All the others have been higher, except Cyclops.

I assume Jay understands that it makes sense to go a little higher on the trinity to subsidize what are almost certainly going to be much lower numbers on some of the rest.
GL might get close to 388 (though I doubt it), and I would be very surprised to see that for Flash, Aquaman, and MM.
Just like I would be very surprised to see 388 people who are going to be all in for a whole comic JLA line up at this scale.

I'm sure Jay understands all of this, I agree MM will not be as large an ES

Yeah, but does he understand just how low the demand on those will likely be?

He's the first to attempt this in a large scale, which i know is a pro and con. The main reason it hasn't been done before comes down to profit, or perceived lack of it. I think the way he's getting attention and people are hyped for this will help. As always though, there's no guarantee when or if we'll see the 7 finished and completed. We will have to wait and see if it works out

I think the Iron Studios 1/3 Hawkman did ok, and that was a similar edition size. I think if MM is done well he will sell. Regardless, he will likely be the last to be made. My guess is that Aquaman will be the next one up. He looks really good.
