word, and word callahan.

Also, back to le dawg's review, that Jim Lee art on the original deathblow was out of sight. I had that poster of him and the nun in my dorm room in college for a couple of years. I remember it was a little controversial at the time because he said he was paying "homage" to Frank Miller's "Sin City" with the black and white style, and Frankie poo got his panties in a bunch about it and was like, "jim lee needs to find his own style", but apparently they let their feud go to give us the non-book, that is utter **** when we do see it, All Star Batman. All well. Just another piece of useless comic trivia anyway...

Either way, that old school Jim Lee art on Deathblow was DOPE...

gotta disagree...Spider-Man story was pretty corny to me. I would rank em'

1. Doc Strange
2. Thing
3. Spidey

Bendis story last month takes the cake but overall these have been worth every penny! Looking forward to Doc Doom and SS up next!

I agree they've been worth every penny. But I'd rank 'em:

1. Spidey
2. Thing
3. Dr. Strange

I thought the Doc Strange story was just goofy, despite the fantastic Alan David art, turning his sanctum sanctorum into a tourist attraction and gift shop. The Spidey story, to me, mixed the right level of humor in that was true to the character Stan created. Bendis story last month, as I wrote in my review, was too self serving and fell flat, not easy to do when you're using the Impossible Man as your lead character. But Roy Thomas' story this week was great!

Looking forward to the next ones as well!

finally got a chance to read my copy of planetary #26 yesterday. how does a book that has taken over a million years to put out 26 issues keep up such a high level of quality? ellis and cassady just blow me away. i can never remember what has happened from one issue to the next, but it doesn't really matter anyway. very bummed to learn that #27 will be the last one. my goal is to sit down one day and read them all in one sitting.

seems like all my favorite books have come to an end lately (bone, preacher, sojourn, the moth and now planetary....so sad.)
