Dr. Strange was a great read. The art was solid and the little details he weaves into the story, such as Wong being a universal blood type so he can donate blood for his master is just another example of his "smart" writing style. Great reviews guys. I did get Boys, I'm on for this first arc, I then may need to be shot.

So, does Dr. Strange: Oath contain the "original origin", or the one from the Straczynski series?

The original origin. I think Marvel's trying to sweep that Straczynski nonesnese under the rug, thank goodness.

I agree completely. I also loved how Strange was searching for his cloak of levitation which, essentially, was playing hide-and-seek with him only to emerge like a slinking snake and work its way up his back and onto his shoulders when it was needed. Just great minor detail touches all the way around. This series may be one of the great "sleeper" series of the year.

I'll pick it up this week Joe... so here's question then?
where is a good place to jump on? Am I too much in the middle of something?

You will kind of be in the middle, though this issue was an important turning point. Each issue has a summary page of prior events leading to the current issue and this one has that, too. So, you should be able to get a synopsis from that to help you catch up. As far as where is a good place to jump on, I think this issue is as good a place as any, but the whole Planet Hulk story has been phenomenal (Sam and I have kind of been alternating on reviewing it) so I'd even say try to go back to the beginning, even though that's a commitment of several issues.

Let's hope it does well enough to lead to an on-going with same team.
