Maybe I'm naive but it seems strange that they still go to work in suits and ties.
That's the hallmark of humorous futures like Demolition Man and Back to the Future. Going overboard with that could be a mistake, imo.

Men's work fashion doesn't change much. It's been suits and ties for decades, and will probably continue.

Regardless, I'd say keeping that aspect familiar helps keep the topic (advanced AI) relevant and relateable to present day viewers.

Some do (Musk, Gates, Hawking), and they're the ones that are scared/cautious.

Maybe they are keeping the clothes traditional to remind themselves they are human?

Haha, I also fell asleep while watching, it looked beautiful, but I just couldn't get into it.

That is what the appeal was for me as well. I think that my wife was a little unsure about what appeal, if any, the show may have for her but rapidly became hooked and we ended up ripping through the first two episodes back to back

I'm the only person in this forum who doesn't watch The Walking Dead so my Sunday nights are now divided between Westworld and Masters of Sex. The latter usually getting pushed to Monday nights for viewing.

I hate WD, I watch it begrudgingly but I really think it's an awful show so it's the one that gets DVRed here to be watched at a later date for the far superior HBO Sunday night lineup.

which speaking of when the heck is the Leftovers coming back?
