ZERO Trick or Treaters
Same neighborhood, but first time on a new street, and there were NO kids that came down our street.
Asked a few folks on the street and they said this never happens. It has not been that busy in the past, but at least 30 - 40 kids.
Kind of bummed me out. I set up a projector and show old Universal Monster and Ray Harryhausen DVD's (like a mini Drive in) and usually have some parents that will hang out and watch as the kids go around the immediate area.
I guess next year I'll set out my kids Jack-O-Lanterns and get a small bag of candy. Or just make other plans.
My Halloween spirit is crushed.

Are there any neighbours you think you could get together with and maybe do something for next year?

That's the sad thing, if just one kid had come down our street, they would have been loaded up with a ton of candy.
JLM, I think that's a great idea. I'll have been on this street for almost 2 years by then, so I will start the ball rolling and see. All the folks seem very nice (execpt that one guy on the corner) so I'm sure we could figure something out. Maybe a really cool display at the top of the street to bring them in...hmmmm.

4 towns away from where i live in NJ put a ban on trick or treaters due to crime. Told them to go elsewhere more or less.
On my way home from work i saw parties at houses more then kids roaming the blocks ringing doorbells. They pretty much stopped it in my areas, parents rather throw a party or the schools have parties to keep the kids safe.
Damn i remember the streets flooded with kids when i was a kid doing it. Used to come home with 4 pillow cases of candy........

I had close to 300 again this year, ran out of candy and had to give out some of my son's candy.

No trick-or-treaters at my house, either. Then again, I had all the doors locked and was sitting in the dark.

We were lucky if we had 20 kids come by this year.
