I had a bunch... about 40 or so... but there was so much dead time between them. They started ringing the bell at 6:30 and didn't stop until 8:45

We had maybe 65. But it's starting too damn early. I was cleaning up from dinner and fine tuning my yard display when the kids started hitting. C'mon....it was only 6:30.
I'm discouraged to read that some had zero. What the heck's going on? Any theories?

We didn't have too many kids either. Maybe 15.

We had seven or eight bags of candy an the doorbell rang twice with a total of three kids. Could be because I look like a creepy serial killer

I had several hundred kids but a bit less than last year. We had some candy left over.
Last year we ran out and the kids kept coming. We wound up scrounging for microwave popcorn, single Andes mints, and in desparation, I threw in some Lipton's individually wrapped teabags!

I have a theory.
I think people were concerned about tainted candy from China containing Melamine.
Or maybe not.
All I know was yesterday was almost 70 degrees out and the PERFECT night for trick or treating, yet there
were unusually low numbers of kids out and about.
