they made nearly 100billion dollars last year on console gaming, so yeah I think it's financially sound

I think it's more so they can always spy on you to gather "market data", i'm not one for conspiracies but i'll be sleeping with a towel over my new super camera having always on Kinect sensor thank you very much

Well it's always been a big box and around the bottom in terms of console designs. And there are a lot of bad looking consoles out there. But I think this is probably the best Xbox design in terms of it looking like a piece of entertainment A/V equipment.

Well, if you love videogames you won't be replacing your 360 at all...

Pretty much have to keep your 360 for 360 games. No backwards com. Say goodbye to any arcade games you buy too. They wont work either.
My issue is the used games. Im not paying a huge fee. MS should embrace that market too. Keeps people on their console. Which is what they want.

I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

Its an ugly looking thing, and 10% bigger than the original Xbox, so much for progress!
They claim it will be quiet in operation, but I bet it sounds like Harrier jump jet taking off.

I've never seen a console as responsive as when the guy doing the demo had it. i bet it was all powerpoint and someone was just advancing through the screens when he said something. i didn't see anything thats gonna make me jump out of my seat and go buy one of these things. i like my media setup just fine the way it is.

Not this gamer. My PS is and will probably always remain simply a Blu-ray player. I'll continue doing my gaming on an XBOX.

"Replace" was a poor choice of words on my part. I should've said upgrade as I won't be parting with my 360.

I went with the 360 this gen (although I did own a PS3 as well at one point)
Unsure where I'll sit this coming gen. I do like the revisions MS made to the controller (d-pad). We've barely seen anything from either Sony or MS yet so I'm not going crazy like the fanboys yet...I'll wait and see more at E3. One thing Sony did to pique my interest in the PS4 was to say Diablo 3 was coming to their console. If it doesn't show up on Xbox One then that may be enough to get me to go PS4 this coming gen. I love the Diablo series and was quite bummed that my laptop couldnt run it

Microsoft executive Phil Harrison, in an interview with Kotaku, has some potentially bad news. The aforementioned 'fee' to play games on a second account? Full MSRP. So unless you want to use your account for your entire family, you'll be dishing out an extra $40, $50, $60 for siblings or friends to try out new games.
