The fall of the Death Dealer

Many years ago when my son was just 2 years old he decided to climb my dresser. Atop of this dresser was my very first and most loved statue ever, The Death Dealer. The scream could be heard for at least a mile and a half and not by my son but by me. My son was fine but the statue was in pieces. As you can see I tried to patch it up, but failed. It was still better than it laying on the floor in pieces tho. My question is can this be fixed to look like new?

Hi
yeah it can look in the painter's corner and they will be painters and sculptors there who can help you fix it.

OMG!! That must have been a horrific moment! Ironic though, the Death Dealer faces his own demise.

I agree. The original paint job was never that good. I have two of these Death Dealers myself, so I've seen the original paint job in person.

If you want to repair the statue yourself, then you should strip off all the paint (with oven cleaner, acetone or lacquer thinner), repair the damage with some Aves Apoxie Sculpt (or Magic Sculpt), then sand the excess epoxie putty so that it's can't be seen when you prime it. Afterwards, you should commission someone to repaint it. You could have someone else repair the statue for you, but the repair work isn't that hard.

I've seen some awesome Death Dealer repaints on this forum but I cant remember the people who did them. The final repainted statue will look ten times better than the original.

Good point. The factory paint job on this piece is pretty friggin' bad. I had it, but sold it during times of financial strife a few years back.

The break is not that bad and only requires minor resculpt and patch. It can be easily patch up and looks good as new. A typical painter can do the repair and paint. You don't need a sculptor here.

This was my first one, it is still my favorite. Getting it fixed and repainted would be fantastic. It still thrills me to look at it. I could never part with this one.
