First appearance of Sabretooth for sale!! Iron Fist #14 Cover

Hey check this out he is letting this piece go. I know 30K is alot but it is a first appearance of a major character. Did John Byrne draw this? If I had the money I would spend 30K on the first Spider-Woman.

I wonder how much the cover to Hulk 181 would be. Probably well over 50K.

Hard to believe that the seller wouldn't bother to learn who drew the cover to this classic issue. Gil Kane is a pretty big name in the original comic art biz. I think he'll get his 30K even if he doesn't seem as motivated to market this piece the way it should...

To answer a q above... I think the artwork for Hulk 181 would actually cross 100K. After all, along with Giant Size X-men 1, that is perhaps the most important cover since Captain America 100 (1968).

If a historically insignificant (though beautiful) Alex Ross cover gets $50k and a standard Byrne X-men cover can get as much as 35K, I can't see a cover like Hulk 181 getting anything less than double that.

sweet - I have a couple of these copies (comic) - need to send one for grading.

I think you are both thinking small on the Hulk 181 - it would be astronomical

You're probably right. The 100K was a conservative estimate.
I would love to see the cover to Hulk 181 hit the market...
The heaviest hitters would come out for this one.

I could see covers to FF 1 or Amazing Fantasy 15 easily crossing the million dollar mark. Have any of you ever heard of these covers hit the market?

I don't think FF 4 would hit 1 Million I would say over 500k for sure. Amazing Fantasy #1 would not even go to a comic art collector that would be snatched up my a museum or Marvel itself. 5Million or more.

The quickest way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it back in your pocket.

This is not ur ordinary collector, he's one of the Biggest, most well known art collectors. if he's selling this, it's because he has something else he wants to purchase. either that or he's testing the waters. He's especially known for Jim Lee pieces and a complete (pg1 thru 37)X-Men #1(claremont/lee) including the giant 4 page, inside poster on the special edition. He also owns or owned the marque of all McFarlane Spidey Splashes, ASM #317, pg6. he has the Uncanny cover with wolvie slashing the Hellfire drones(#133), and the two-page splash of Wolverine diving for Sauron(#115). and the cover to Hulk #340.

this is big time.
