Wow, those are some major scores, congrats.

That said you gave up a KT Halloween variant?

I guess if you're not a fan of the film its not such a big deal but man, that is easily in my top 3 of all the prints I own. I'm a huge Carpenter and Halloween fan however. I also foresee that print becoming "THE" KT grail print similar to Stout's The Thing.

Tiny Eli - You've never seen Halloween?! It's one of the best horror movies ever. If not the best.

Kind of funny that there is a spoiler time limit thread going on in the movie section and someone here hasn't seen one of the best horror movies that's from the late 70s.

Average is around $700 for both the variant and the regular. One regular even sold for around 1K recently.

A lot of Stout's are on the rise as of late. The Star Wars set, Blade Runner, Kill Bill and Inglorious Basterds most notably.

Wow, and people say giclees are overpriced.

Thats the secondary market value though. The original prices are usually around $50. Stout's IB for example was only $35 back in 2009. He is a really popular artist now and with a run of only 450 on the reg and 80 on the variant the supply just isn't that abundant.

I traded it to a person who also thought Halloween was a masterpiece and an all-time great film so I guess it ended up in the right hands. I would frame my Ken Taylor Drive before Halloween so it seemed rather a waste for me to have a variant.

The list of great movies I haven't seen is fairly large. As for movies in the horror genre, I don't think I've seen any outside of the Alien series. That includes having never seen The Thing. I do enjoy saying things like "The remake of the The Thing is way better than the original" to my movie buff friend. I'm holding off seeing it just to aggravate him.

Just off the top of my head I haven't seen: Blade Runner, The Big Lebowski, Jaws, or E.T. Oddly enough Stout Lebowski is at the top of my ISO (need to pinch my pennies first).
