The standard acrylic bases are 1/8" acrylic. Using 1/4" makes them very sturdy. If you have access to a heat gun and a 1/4" piece of acrylic (16" by 5") then a sturdy base can be had for about $5. In Denver I've found a few places that sell acrylics and they will cut it for me to the size I need.

I already have a base I'm working on with an optional acrylic dust cover to go with my prototype stool stand I posted a pic of. Dean Yeagle will have one of them to display his Mandy on hopefully next time anyone sees him at a convention.

I'm just wondering now if I made a small batch or run of these stands would anyone be interested?

No it's just not Tracy's main business now. He is working full time for someone (possibly Disney) and just does the ET as a side thing
