War for the Planet of the Apes (2017) - After the apes suffer unimaginable losses, Caesar wrestles with his darker instincts and begins his own mythic quest to avenge his kind.
The apes' adversaries were maybe dispatched a little too conveniently, but otherwise this was a respectable end to the Planet of the Apes trilogy. 7/10

Beauty and the Beast (2017) - An adaptation of the fairy tale about a monstrous-looking prince and a young woman who fall in love.
I liked this more than I thought I would. The incredible production values at the very least should be respected. 6/10

Oh yeah, I forgot I'd watched that this week also. I guess I could just leave that as my review, but I agree with your opinion so I'll second it along with the score you gave it. It wasn't tragic, but should have been much better....

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

The shape of water - 9/10
Del Toro is the best story teller in the business, his movies are these beautiful and dark fairy tales and TSOP is probably his finest fairy tale. Michael Shannon is crazy good in this movie too. Suprised with the raunchiness , I hope there is a a kids cut of some sort , everything about this movie so beautiful.
