just saw A History Of Violence NO SPOILERS
I was really looking forward to this film, the trailer was great, but what a let down. I had never read the graphic novel so I didn't know what to expect. The acting was bad all around and the dialogue was just plain terrible. The story feels like its missing a lot and the film is pretty predictable. Save your money and wait for it on cable.

I was supposed to go to a preview screening a few weeks ago with David Cronenberg in attendance and holding a discussion afterwards. I was disappointed that something came up and I missed it.

Hey folks before you write this one off, you are basing your comments on the opinion of one person who saw it. A person who you don't know so you have no idea whether your likes or dislikes are even remotely similar to his. I'm still planning on seeing this film.

Haha, I'm gonna use this sam disclaimer when you write a review! I had my doubts about this movie to begin with though, and while his comments still push it to the NO, I do my research first Besides at first glance who can pass up Viggo Mortensen and Ed Harris?!!

I understand where your coming from Zurb. I too would have wanted to check out this film for myself, the trailer is so promising. Luckly I used some free passes my friend gave me or I would have wasted $20 dollars.
