Original heroes are coming back

http://abcnews.go.com/Entertainment/...ry?id=46331912

To the surprise of no one I'm sure... But Marvel has decided to put them side by side with their replacements. It sounds real hokey to me. Not to be a downer but Marvel's sales show how many readers they have lost on monthly titles with this new generation of heroes - it's time to drop them much like Thunderstrike and others from the 90s

For real ?!?!?! WooHoo !!!! Wolverine is back !!!

I don't read everything but there is one change that i like and that is Ms. Marvel (Kamala Khan) so i want Carol Danvers to stay as Captain Marvel.

I have very very high hopes that Carol is Captain Marvel from now on and Mar-Vell is ancient history anyway. Marvel invested in Carol as Captain Marvel alot with the coming movie and everything so she is the permanent Captain Marvel, i'm 99% sure.

Love how they say these stories are real and have consequences or something like that, then says that is what we do, we never take them off the board forever.

Anyways, Marvel after 2010 has pretty much lost me. They tried to cater to an audience who doesn't want to buy comics and their sales have gone down. So now they try to just bring back all the old characters. My guess is some sort of universe shifting reboot?? All new astonishing ultimate avengers now?

I don't think it really is a sales thing (or at least only). It's more Marvel's attempt at trying to show legacies and their love of them the way DC Rebirth seems to be slowly doing.

I agree that it's no surprise the old heroes are coming back while the newer versions are staying around. That's how it has always been going back to when Beta Ray Bill became Thor and James Rhodes became Iron Man in the 80s.

I'm also in agreement that Mar-vell should not be brought back. The way his death was written was perfect and to undo that in any way cheapens it in my opinion. More so than any other resurrection because he died of cancer--a very real illness that can affect anyone.

Ironic that Phoenix will be back when Cyclops is dead.

Phoenix/Jean is finally coming back? Geeze. I think she's been dead my entire comic reading life.

I hope not. I love JG but leave the poor girl alone, she's been through enough already.

I still haven't read the new Secret Wars yet. But I thought that was going to be a major thing that setup future characters. Not to bring everyone back yet again. It seems like it's just events, kill characters, and bring them back again now in comics.
