I bought a MIB DX Indiana Jones this year and the holster belt disintegrated as soon as I touched it. The new Alien Warrior and BvS Batman has some peeling problems reported.

But all my statues are comic related, except for the Batman '66 line.
Enterbay is pretty good with headsculpts. Their BD Terminator is the best Terminator head sculpt imo. They mostly do NBA now though. Blitzway is pretty good too with K.A Kim's Fight Club and Ghostbusters.

I thought Hot Toys don't do re-issues...

Yeah? That's one of my concerns. I wish their Avengers and Star Wars line won't have those issues...
I read that some Ironman has paint issues... I hope it's not too bad.
I hope that years after I bought one, they won't break once I start posing 'em again .

They did a Die-cast Robocop, so they did a second version of this, complete with soundbites - even though it is not audio from the film.

They have done plenty of rereleases, particularly from Aliens, Predator, AVP & repaints galore from Iron Man

That's what I can think of off the top of my head but there are so many more. The problems I listed are more common and not just 1 offs. Basically they use extremely poor materials that are not meant to last.

Are you familiar with Square-Enix's Play Arts Kai line? Their joints easily breaks as well due to the use of poor materials... Are Hot Toys close to Play Arts Kai's poor material quality?

Majority of problems that you have listed happen with any company. Staining will happen when dyed clthing is put right next to the body. This was the case with Enterbay's Leon & his beanie as well as with Damtoys' Gansters kingdom Spade J Memories
As for bodies that have no articulated joints in the arm, don't be an idiot & pose the hell out of them, use your brains
PERS has nothing to do with disintegration over time. My DX09 pers brok an eye the second time I posed it. And if your two face/Harvey dent body is week, just get a new body!
If you are losing pieces, take better care of your items!
Oh, & my IM Mk. V still has RED panties, my first HT figures Dallas & Kane - are still in superb condition, which is all the more surprising as the whole spacesuit is made out of rubber
Yes, there have been mistakes - The comedian & Batsuit Begins come to mind because of the oil leaks, but that is unfortunately a side effect of using rubber. Without mistakes, how can you learn & improve?

I've actually never heard of a company that has had as many issues with their product as Hot Toys. What makes matters worse is they offer virtually no customer support. You better hope the retailer you buy them from has excellent customer support. Many of the problems happened for people right out of the box. Hot Toys Learn? Lol look what happened with Ed-209. They did the exact same thing.

The problems I listed vary from severity (not all mine, ones I have read over the years, but I did have a couple of the issues). Some are minor some are major. Many of these figures retailed for over $220 USD + shipping + tax. Unacceptable IMO. Many of these issues happened right out of the package or within a few months of shipping. These are not even one off problems with QC, there are multiple instances of all of the problems I listed.

I'm just advising people starting off, don't drink the kool-aid too fast. This company has a monopoly on the 1/6 market. They have turned a fun hobby into overpriced statue collecting. I'm not disputing that they have some of the most realistic sculpts and paint application, but don't plan on having them for longevity.

Or just chalk it up to user error, whatever.
