Check box to opt in.
I placed an order today at Sideshow. There is a box to opt in, not to have your order cancelled if a delay occurs. If you do not check it, your order is cancelled after a 30 day delay with all money refunded. Must be a new consumer law out there.

Wonder if they will contact you about delay..so you can make a decision to continue to wait or get all $$ back if you don’t check the box.

I'd be shocked if anything is done for the consumer's benefit. Probably a CYA so they don't have to later credit NRDs due to lengthy delays. "But, but, you opted in!..."

That's what I was thinking. Could be wrong, but it sounds like they're basically saying you agree to keep your order even if it gets delayed (which damn near everything does) if you check the box.

If item is delayed you can still ask for full refund even if you check the box. Older orders will receive email if you want to keep. If you don't respond it will be cancelled.

Probably just a logistics/system thing on their end, since it doesn't change the fact that you can still request to cancel and get your NRD back if the item is delayed.

Just because they've let people cancel and get NRDs in the past does not mean they will in the future or will if you check the box.
Will be interesting to see this actually tested.

While true, things can change at any time, right now they are not connecting the two, as this is stated at the bottom of the page:
"With that said, if you choose to cancel your order through your online account for any reason after it has been delayed, you will receive a full refund, including any deposits processed to reserve the product."
