Not sure what the point of this show is ..? Talk about comics, see some collections, what? That Bob Kane piece was pretty cool though

My wife hated the bearded guy, he truly was annoying. The blonde woman who brought in the Chucky doll, I've seen her on two other "reality" shows, one I think was called "Oddities" and another called "My Collection Obsession" that had a segment all about her and her obsession with dolls and treating them like humans.

So episode two revealed that bearded dude (I hate him so much I'm deliberately trying not to remember his name) has been friends with Kevin Smith for years. That explains why he's on this show. He is a despicable human being.

That said, how foolish is the store manager in the sense that the majority of people watching a show like this have an understanding of what the stuff is worth. To watch him offer a pittance on stuff that deserves more respect than that only casts him in a bad light IMO.

I can't believe he got that Man-Thing first appearance OA for $175 Guy must have been desperate, or starstruck.

He does seem like a bit of a skinflint sometimes, but having been on his side of the equation myself (I worked at a comic store for several years in the 90s) I can understand where he's coming from. We have no idea what they already have in the shop (for example, they may already have 15 complete runs of Crisis), so the ability to be able to resell what you're buying is a major consideration. Plus it wouldn't surprise me if some people who come in highball their asking prices.

That being said, that OA was an absolute steal.

And yeah, bearded dude is an ass.

I can't believe he went from $500 to $175 in a blink. Maybe they edit out the haggling but, I cannot believe how quickly these people drop their price. Most might come in a little above reasonable, but Walt always lowballs them, I'm surprised more don't walk away.

Lol, I don't watch much tv, and it seems I'm not missing anything by not watching this.
