I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

Starlog Magazine R.I.P

I just read on Wiki that Starlog Magazine has ceased publication, possibly forever. I've been reading this magazine for years, its a sad day!

I haven't read it in quite a while, but Starlog hooked me on sci-fi at a very early age. Their additional "photo guidebooks" on aliens, robots, toys, etc. were lots of fun and very educational. It's sad to see them go away.

Sad news but like BT, its been a while since I picked a copy up. I used to love the mag and remember stacks of it on the floor in my bedroom growing up. I still vividly remember reading a story involving an astronauts' crash landing on some sort of winter world and being hunted by the planet's vampires who could run over snow and sense body heat.
Omni, Starlog, Asimov's Scince Fiction, Sci-Fi Digest...I loved 'em all.

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

Wow, I used to adore this magazine back when 'Dick Tracy', 'TMNT' and 'Terminator 2' were hitting the screens. Sad to see it go. I blame the interweb.
