What do you people listen to?
I was never too much into music, but like the progressive rock stuff from the 70s and 80s, bands like Rush, Genesis and Yes. Recently liked stuff from Green Day, Evanesence and Rihanna.
I will listen to just about anything but country and classical.

Gotta be heavy!!! I'm always in the mood for NIN, Tool, Metallica, etc. But I also like some eighties hair metal every once in awhile.
Ohhh, blues and jazz kick ass too.

Love the old groups you mention. Rush, Yes, and Steely Dan are probably my alltime favorite top three. Joe Jackson probably comes in next.
Not many recent groups have caught my ear, although I will admit to liking:
The Donnas (one of my favorites)
Mighty, Mighty Bosstones (although they have now hung it up for good)
Fountains of Wayne
Maroon 5
I also love Blues, Swing and even Classical. I'm with you on Country -
Some other bands that I still follow and love -
Roomful of Blues (jump blues)
Maynard Ferguson (jazz trumpet)
Eight to the Bar (swing)
Pat Metheny (jazz guitar)
Bach rules. I am especially partial to Brandenburg Concerto #2.

I'm all about the metal, but I don't care for any of the newer stuff. It all sounds the same to me! I'm pretty much stuck in the 80's and early 90's.I also like a lot of 70's stuff like Rainbow,Sabbath,Zeppelin and the like.
