I read online that the Bat Symbol on his chest is made from the broken up pieces of the gun that killed his parents. That's why it is ridged looking. This was done in a different way in the comics when he melted it down and used it for armor underneath the Bat Symbol.

Ooo, I didn't know this about his symbol. Thanks for that info..That would make sense that he would use pieces of that gun and fashion is bat symbol out of it. Well I think.

If he's just using it for symbolism, that's kinda neat I guess. If he's using it for armor then it's not a great idea.

In the comics it was a bit of both.

Looks like a skinny kid in that costume. As long as the writer and director is good, I'm sure he will be fine in the movie.

Yeah, Ok, I have that comic somewhere. I remember thinking though that a small plate armor that's made out of metal used to make guns, will stop only some rounds. I'm pretty sure a .45 round would either go through that or break his sternum. But hey, it's comics.

The more I look at this the more I don't like it. Maybe this will be upgraded throughout the movie.
