Yeah my comment wasn't meant to be comparing Jerry's or anyone else's contribution to greatness but just to highlight that lightning doesn't always strike twice.
Goro is a great example for me. Bought and love the 1/3 for the size, beautiful sculpt, and paints and but it can never be the supreme icon that is the 1/4.

Overall pose and proportions have a lot to do with how well a statue is received. I see Goro and Sagat as different sides of the best coin of the Jerry/Cleary relationship.

I dunno I expect this Sagat to be better ;p the 1/4 is cool but I prefer the 1:3, msybe if the hands were lower.

I already don't like the proportions or subject for the pose as much as the 1/4 Sagat.

I mean I still fully expect to want this Sagat just comparing my tastes of the 2 so far.

I really liked the 1/4. Missed the boat on it. I hope this new piece can wow me the same. Doubt it from the pose alone.

No choice but to wait. They did an amazing job with 1/3 Chun. I have no doubt this will also be stunning.

I guess I want the 1/4 and little bitter that I missed it. Do not want to pay arm and leg in secondary market.

Let's wait and see. The pose is not my favorite and the grimace face.

Sagat should be SF4 like.

So far I've liked every 1:3 they've done so far A LOT more then their 1:4 counterparts (including both Ryu's).

Same here, although the newer MM Evil Ryu is pretty damn good as well.

Wait to know if I like this one but still think the 1/4's pose is better than this one? Don't need to.

Iconic poses are a foremost consideration as to how appealing I find a statue.
