I agree. While I haven't seen the original, I have seen (and own) the 2013 remake, and the blood on this groovy variant is perfect IMO.

IDK, I was just looking at that pic Josado posted and the pic on the Hot Topic website, and it doesn't look super bloody to me.
I translated the Japanese page and it it says nothing about Hot Topic. It says it's limited to 150 pieces for a Tokyo convention, and that there will be very small amount of pieces up at Koto around Dec. 7th.
