Dig the way she came out, bummer about the issues. Sad I missed out but also I'm hoping someone will do a proper diamond form version.
I wouldn't mind if they did a diamond variant of this one.

got same problem but was trying to get the cape in another angle into the peg and turning a little at her back and finally it flushed in and got in correct place. Dont know why its so hard to put in perfect place. Be carefully not to scratch anything!!!

Seriously? I have the exact same issue, as bad as yours and they didn't offer me replacement!!
They advise me to put the cape in boil water to flex it and put it back on the statue, while putting pressure on it to bend it...
