First piece of 2023-Batman by Kelley Jones

Kelley Jones was in Nashville this weekend for a comic show and I was lucky enough to set this cover quality commission ahead of the show. My first time meeting Kelley and he was a super great guy.

I moved here about 3 years ago from California. Yeah the show was not advertised well at all. I only found out about it because of a friend, in California telling me Kelley was going to be here.

He didn't advertise rates or that he was doing commissions. I just messaged him through Facebook. Took a few weeks to hear back but the whole process could not have been easier. Oh and he did have some pre done Batman pieces (8 total) for sale on the table. They were $400 each I believe.

Ah you're one of those people Kidding, but people that have lived here aren't thrilled what all has happened to the city the past 10-15 years.
Always curious what brings you here? Retired? Single/Family? You live downtown?

I've had some of my best experiences at small things like that con. Smart thinking on your part. Really lucky and you got a gem there.

Just part of the growing army with the goal being to California your Tennessee.

Kidding. We were looking to get out of California and fell in love with Tennessee. Living outside of Nashville.

If by "California" you mean overcrowded you are correct! Traffic is an absolute nightmare now because of too many people. I've traveled that main road where the convention was my entire life.

It is so great. I spent about 10 minutes walking the show booth and the rest in line talking to Kelley Jones and picking up my commission. I was in and out within and hour and got to enjoy the rest of my Sunday.
