With movies like this, I generally find the joy in simply seeing these characters on the big screen. Movie Execs already know they will be making oodles on these flicks so the incentive to produce something amazing may not be as high as it could be.........

Dead Ringer (1964) - 6/10

Following up on the success of the campy "Whatever Happened to Baby Jane?", Bette Davis plays estranged identical twins who confront each other after one's husband dies. It's no masterpiece, but it was entertaining enough for 1.5 hours.

Heat Ledger's Joker is still the best.

A Hard Day's Night (1964) - A "typical" day in the life of The Beatles, including many of their famous songs.

It was a lot of fun seeing the Fab Four cavort around 1960's London. The new Criterion restoration looks stunning. 8/10
