Mine was still in Seattle as of yesterday, so I doubt I'll be getting mine before New Years.
In the meantime I'm going to start painting the backdrop. It may end up looking tacky and I may not display it like that, but it'll give me something creative to do while I wait.

Mine came today and I absolutely love her! She is perfect in every way. The print is a nice touch but I already had a 16x20 that I ordered from Ellie 35 years ago and framed it so I left the print in the box. Great job Level52!

Yours looks great- and special kudos on the lighting there!
Did you rig something up specific or was it just a happy accident that you hit it almost perfect in terms of replicating the original source?
Gotta say, under that lighting, these pics are the closest I've ever seen this evoke the painting.

I'm honestly very envious of your situation there.
Because of the room layout, and the limitations I have for displaying larger scale pieces, direct overhead lighting isn't an option.
And in this situation, getting this to look truly close to the painting, an overhead light source is essential.
I will probably try to rig something to approximate that, but it's not going to be an aesthetically ideal solution for the room in general. And it may end up being an overall detraction.
Even the color of your walls, with the stepped down value from the shadow cast by the shelf, is an insanely appropriate backdrop for this.
Really dude, no matter how you got there- bravo!
