I'm a member of these boards but detest what they did because they
essentially killed this auction.
Looks like those two fellows decided to have some fun and mess around
with the pricing by bidding against one another just for the "fun" of it.
Well, it didn't hit the reserve, but it also didn't find the true and actual
selling price either. Had it ended up legitimately at $1,000 or $1,500 or
so, it would have been possible to maybe work with the seller on it.
Unfortunate that those two jerks decided to play pricing games.

I think its only against the rules if the buyer is involved in the bidding.

I can't believe the seller cancelled the bid that met reserve.

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

It was cancelled by the seller, as the high bidder was just jerking around and
wouldn't have paid if they actually won. Then the seller would have been
on the hook for the listing AND the closing fees on a $4,000 item.
Looks like the majority of the bidders on this item were fraudulent or shills.

Nope - The bidder who got their bid cancelled was the only one who
reached the reserve price. The only reason it got that high was due
to those two fellows bidding it up for yuks.
