It's weird to sculpt a figure in digital and then wait to get it and see how it is in physical form.
I am not a great painter--I know others could do a better job--but this was an experiment.
Not sure what is coming next. I have to take a sabbatical and think about where I will go.
I have Kolchak and Vincenzo to print next.
As busts.

I prefer doing portrait busts, but since I had made a figure underneath the SHE statue--I did a Honey Ryder version.
It turned out ok--it would have been smarter to paint the 3d print instead of molding and casting it, but this was something I did as an experiment.
I learned I do not like making full figures.
Happy birthday to Ursula Andress though!

Originally I had planned to do a portrait of her from the SHE poster (it is a painted image of her and Raquel Welch was on the other side--I almost did her originally but there were already some sculptures of her and since I could also do a Dr. No figure--I felt it was more interesting).
However I learned that the SHE poster was a made-up image and not based on a photo. So I focused on the She headdress instead (and that became a nightmare due to the intricate nature of the feathers--it took me 5 months to sculpt it because I had to redo it in order to make it printable).
The other challenge was--- after 1967 or so--her face is thinner and her eye makeup gets more pronounced and makes the eyes hard to get a good look at--I tried to use reference material from the early 60s mainly. And even more problematic was the fact that she did not make a lot of movies in the 1960s (I soon found out) and I needed screen captures--that is what I try to use for reference since I can see the face in motion and responding to shadows.
The 10th Victim helped a lot.
Plus, since it is a full figure I was obsessing about getting her hands and feet right!
I am getting faster at doing them.
I have plans for a Caroline Munro figure but I need a break from portraits. And my backlog of digital subjects to print is immense.
Easy to get overwhelmed.

He arrived safely.
Now I have a couple more heads chilling out as they await for bodily manifestation.

I have a laugh face for him - I want to check it over some more before printing. I don't have much purpose for it but it may suggest ideas when I have it.
