Oh no, we're gonna litigate this at least until the holidays are over

Not to pile on, but my interpretation of the situation was that all the Spidey movies were a strict co-production down the middle. Marvel AND Sony. Feige AND Pascal. However, it was perhaps my assumption that they were maybe more of a Marvel product because it was written with Marvel's direction - to fit into their phases, using Marvel's stable of actors, and always part of any list of the MCU (articles, wikipedia, etc.).

This was bolstered by the fact that early on, the quality of Spidey was consistent with what Marvel was putting out, and NOT with the crap that Sony was. X-men and Venom and Morbius etc.

I mean, Marvel went to Sony to ask to use Spidey as part of Marvel's ongoing storytelling. I doubt they'd leave Sony as primarily in charge of that task...

Right, Spidey first appeared in the third Captain America movie as well as the last two Avengers movies, the latter of which was concurrent with the two stand-alone Spider-Man movies.

Fortunately so, because Sony's 'Spideyless Spidey movies' are... not that good. Which is an opinion. : )
Totally agree and share your opinion. Personally, didn?t like the two Venom films and Morbius.
