I'm pretty familiar with those, but it's been a while since I've seen them. I don't think either contain the scene I described.

I looked up a list of sword & sorcery films. I guess not surprisingly, there aren't many. I'm thinking it could be one of the films based on The Green Knight. Maybe Sword of the Valiant, or the earlier, Gawain and the Green Knight. I'll have to track them down and see...

I think the dying knight protects a village, and says something to the villagers upon returning with his assailant, "as my last act, I bring you my killer." or something along those lines. lol

Fall - 7/10 OMG if you are afraid of heights, this movie will have you sweating in your seat. Probably one of the most terrifying movies I've ever seen (because I am afraid of heights).
