Post Official Reviewing Rules & Guidelines

Here are the official reviewing rules and guidelines:

1.- We do not review unlicensed products and kits. This ban also includes their presence in the background of photos and videos, and their use for scale reference. Only lawfully licensed products are permitted for review.

2.- Items that have been modified, altered or customized without their creator's permission are not allowed. The main purpose of our work is to showcase the products as they come from the factory into retailers, and then into the hands of consumers and collectors. Custom kits are permitted, provided they are legally licensed.

3.- Multiple reviews of the same item are not discouraged as long as they are not posted on the same date. Priority will be given to whoever posts his or her review first.

4.- A reviewer has no authority to modify or to change the work of another fellow reviewer, unless authorized by a Moderator or the Administrator of the forum, and in very extreme cases. Every review needs to be done separately to avoid confusion and misinterpretation.

5.- The reviews created for this section are the property of statueforum.com and their creators. They cannot be posted, duplicated or used anywhere else besides the authorized platforms (The reviewers section and the official YouTube channel). The purpose of our reviews is to promote our site, our social network and our partners. The use of watermarks is highly recommended to differentiate our work from the work of other individuals and websites.

6.-The reviewer/creator of the review is the only person authorized to edit/delete to any of their personal reviews created for statueforum.com. Statueforum.com does have the right to take down any review at any given time without notice but cannot edit the reviews without authorization of the creator.

These are the official categories for review:

Sculpt: It covers the sculpture (traditional or digital), the anatomy, the texture and the detail of every piece. It can be divided between head, body, base, switch out parts (when available) or any other structural component of a diorama.

Paint & Mixed Media: It covers every aspect of the paint application technique, and the tailoring work done for various collectible lines.

Design: It covers the artistic concept and the aesthetic design of each piece. The interpretation of the art and how well the final product resembles the source material are subjects discussed and evaluated in here. Pose, size and scale comparison can also be included in this category.

Production & Build Quality: It covers the technical and building aspects of every piece. Weight, stability, casting, assembly, material quality and factory defects are elements that can be talked about in this section.

**Note: There is plenty room for flexibility within these four categories, but they need to be respected and observed as the official standard for each review.

Our score system:

1 to 10 for each category and the average for the final score. Here is a chart that can be used:

10-perfect
9.5-outstanding
9.0-excellent
8.5-very impressive
8.0-impressive
7.5-very good
7.0-good
6.5-above average
6.0-average
5.0-mediocre
4.0-poor
3.0-bad
2.0-terrible
1.0-horrible
0 - dead in the water

As mentioned before, failure to comply with any of these rules can result in the loss of reviewing privileges and or the dismissal of the reviewing team. When in doubt, asking a leader, a moderator or a fellow reviewer is greatly advised.

Also, these rules and guidelines are not open for debate, unless requested by the forum administrator or the moderating body. These guidelines and our official format have been long discussed and agreed upon by reviewers and moderators.
