I actually do like Athena too. She's very nice. I love the pose. I would love to see Aphrodite done.

Oooh, I have always wanted to see a pic of Athena next to Medusa. Do you have one/a few you could post Hercules?

Can't do that right now unfortunately but let me tell you, as huge as Athena is, she is dwarfed by Medusa..I actually displayed them next to each other as they share an intimate bond according to the tragic Greek myth (too deep to get into, here)

I highly recommend it but unfortunately, she's sold out and extremely hard to find right now.

Indeed Herc! This is my only ARH piece right now. I am going to get Valkryie and hopefully The Barbarian if my money ever gets right.

Yes Athena is truly exceptional..She also has great symbolic meaning to me because of what she represents!
Unfortunately I'm not feeling the barbarian at all..The piece is generic and senseless overall..
I'm anxiously awaiting the rest of the Olympians..especially Aphrodite and Ares !!

I can't remember; was it Athena that turned Medusa, or Aphrodite?

Athena turned her beautiful priestess into the monstrous Medusa, or the "crime" of being raped by Poseidon inside of Athena's holy temple believe it or not.. condemned to suffer unspeakable psychological pain and torment until the day she was finally murdered at the hands of the Greek Hero Perseus..
The story is very deep as are all Greek myths, meant to teach important lessons about the human condition. You can learn more about the myth, and reality of Medusa's tragic story in this superb documentary, its a story you will never forget:

I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.
