I feel like XM pieces have started to look cheaper and cheaper quality wise, the base looks good but the rest...not so much. If these are the professional photographs on their site imagine how horrible that portrait is going to look in normal lighting.

XM's heavily shadowed pics drive me nuts. Only one close-up of her face and you can't see half of it. I want to see every detail of the statue before I make my order.

This isn't a knock against just XM either. A lot of companies take liberties with their pics like adding effects (like glowing eyes) when the actual statue won't have them.

I've seen pics of her on forums, but it still drives me crazy that XM often puts their statues in deep shadow for official preorder pics. They're not doing themselves any favors for the people that don't use forums or scour the internet for convention pics either. Customers shouldn't have to search for good amateur pics.
