Preferably a standard 616 Cap in the “normal” costume. Not Ultimate, not pseudo Iron Man armor like Sideshow’s last PF, not WWII, not some other made up version with unnecessary lines, patterns, sections, but a regular chain mail scale wearing Captain America with wings on his cowl.

To their credit, XM has already done 2 regular 616 Caps so it makes sense they’d want to do something different with this one.

Yes it is. I’m very critical of head sculpts of my favorite characters. Black Panther is in my Top 5 and this T’Challa head sculpt is one of my favorite portraits of all the statues I own. Batman is also a Top 5 character for me and I have the Samurai, but that head sculpt is not among the best to me. I’d agree, it seems XM has a harder time nailing Caucasian portraits.

Congrats! Did you get version A or B? It's an excellent looking Cap statue. It's probably the best Cap statue I've seen overall. Pose and portraits look phenomenal IMO. The sticking point I can't get over is that I need a classic Cap for my collection. I'd have pulled the trigger on this in a second if he was in his classic costume.

This is one of those times I wish XM did variant statues. If XM did a variant of this (or Storm) in classic duds, I couldn't give them my money fast enough. They can just call a classic Cap variant version "C" and the classic Storm version "B". They're using the alphabet to go over the 999 limit they set. Why not use it for variants?
