Different strokes...I think when it's done right like Bane or this guy, from the looks of it, it adds a sense of realism and helps it pop even more. My only issue would be the possibility of deterioration over time. Definitely have to take that into consideration when you're paying these prices.

I don't see there being anything as complex or heavy as the sentinel hand going on with the base. Even a detailed bar fight theme should only have a few basic objects attached to a simpler plane.

I anticipate the price will be low enough to current norms to impress people with how reasonable it is, when in reality it's merely slightly overpriced compared to outrageously overpriced.
the base could be a little interesting if they go the X-mansion route , who knows what direction they take.
mixed media or no mixed media this price will be around $700 for sure. theres not much difference in size between this and the new Mr.freeze , plus its a Marvel license.

The “Doll Clothes” to me, give the statue more of a “life like” appearance to my collection.
Now, PFs like OG sabertooth are quite a stretch, but if the mix media is tailored right, I am all for it.

Mixed media kills what would have been a beautiful piece. Now it's a 600 dollar Barbie. Imagine if Michelangelo just said, "You know, it's gonna be really hard to sculpt this robe, I'll just do the face and then throw a blanket over her..."

I don’t mind mixed media as long as it’s done right not like the first sabertooth, baroness grandma pants, or wolverine pajamas. All the others I learned to like mix media.

personally i think it takes more than a mixed media element to make something a "doll" - these are still statues, you cannot pose them. they still are in fixed positions with a base and no visible joints

i get people not liking mixed media because they just dont like the way it looks or whatever but dont get the doll argument though. personally i like it in the right applications, hellboy and gambits coat look better in person than anything sculpted could have imo

My Arkham Harley has a fabric skirt and it looks nice.
But what is the problem to sculpt pants ?
