The common theme with the older Mythos pieces was that there was always a story behind the pose and costume chosen. I don't necessarily get that from this piece, but maybe the full reveal will make it a little more obvious what they're going for. It's a cool design regardless, but it doesn't necessarily grab me like the Ventress statue does.

The pose and costumes on the original Mythos were based on the Extended Universe, Disney will not allow anything based on the EU anymore so these have to be based on current stuff, for the Emperor is pretty easy as he looks like himself, he could be trying to kill Luke or Yoda, although the lava background brings to mind Mustafar but I don't remember him ever fighting there, now with Ventress, I'm trying to remember when she wore a costume like that, it's definitely nightsister based, maybe in the upcoming season 7 of The Clone Wars?

As far as Palpatine goes, his transformation after his fight with Windu makes him a more interesting character design. I guess they could have gone with Senator Palpatine from Naboo, but who would want that?
