Good to know PCS are still working on Sonya Blade
Kiss pose. I'm sure PCS can do better.
The kick pose works well
This could work
They could always re work the kiss pose ..as HIVE kinda got it wrong.
PCS/HIVE Note: Sonya Blade has large black earrings. Look closely at her belt. Note position of Ponytail on head (HIVE placed it too low).

Base makes it look like 1/3. I wish it were a 1/4 classic dammit

She's just not interesting enough for a $1k statue.

Yeah people really are living in their own imaginations with this one. All the "gotta have it"s are still stuck in the memories of $350 statues.
Sonya ain't gong nowhere at $1K for 1/3 or $600 for 1/4 no matter how may MK fans want to passionately plea for it.
That's another big problem with all statue companies, especially PCS, that creates sales under false pretenses: the notion that a "line" will be completed or continue on.

Yeah while people need to be responsible separating wishes from reality, companies too often overpromise then blame "poor sales" (collectors) when they pull the plug.
For Sonya to work, PCS needs to be clear what "line" she's for - Klassic 1/4, 1/3, new 1/4. If she's just her own thing, then demonstrate some commitment to filling out the line with not only contracted concept art, but some rough sculpts and timely updates.
Personally, if I were rebooting the Klassic line for my own selfish reasons, I'd go fully sculpted, with breakaway enviro bases, P1 style (based on actual MK1-3 stages), default fighting stances with optional torso or leg switchouts for kicks. And 1/6 scale is fine with me if it came down to the viability of the line - it's not like Stryker or Kano are going to sell in 1/4.

That is the other part of it though.
If demand for a statue in such limited quantities of a few hundred is so conditionally dependent then sufficient demand isn't really their to sustain the statue now is it?

Yep everybody wants "their" version. For every person like you there's another that wouldn't settle for anything but Klassic.
That gets to the point that the demand just isn't really there.
When you have to work THIS hard and long to decide IF a statue is worth making, guess what? It isn't.
