Canon Rebel XS versus T1i question

Anyone have experience or knows for taking normal pictures, does the pictures come out better with Canon Rebel T1i over the XS model? Can you really tell the difference?

I have the T1i and love it. It may have a few more bells and whistles (of which I have yet to use) but I think the most significant thing is a better resolution on the LCD display and the T1i is 15+ megapixel vs. like, 12 for the XS. 'Course the T2i is out now so who knows what the differences are.

They both take excellent pictures. My friend has the XS and digs it. Guess it just boils down to what you want to pay.

The quality of picture that you get out of a camera is more dependant on the camera settings, lighting and lenses than the camera itself.
