Sounds like somebody's gotta write a NightCrawler unleashed story IMO. I don't think a large portion of comicdom really know what NC can do. He's trained and lead the X-MEN. He's lead Excalibur. He can't be the big pushover some of you are suggesting.....

MK, I'm not saying Nightcrawler's a pushover at all. I just believe he's outmatched by Spider-Man. Remember, Spidey's taken down a troup of X-Men single handedly and manhandled the FF as well. He's one of the toughest customers in the MU.

Pretty much any character can be written to be the ultimate bad ass if they wanted too. Remember "Enemy of the State" in the pages of Wolverine? Wolverine was practically taking down whole countries and Northstar cleaned his clock. Northstar!

exactly, one second the character is taking on entire teams of other heroes...then the next he's getting manhandled by a b-lister. things change fast, but i'm still gonna back Kurt on this one, i mean if he really wanted too he could just port himself with his hand through Spideys brain or something, sure it might be a bit of a drag on the elf, but pete would be gone before he could even smell the sulfur

The point is Nightcrawler with the other X-men (fine...minus the Prof & Jean) couldnt take down Spidey. So what're his chances alone?

This is a silly question. Spidey would take out all the X-men except maybe Jean Grey as Phoenix.
