Good for you! Looks beautiful indeed AP, but if Steve Wang gives it a shot I'll take that sculpt any day!
A Kothoga is a dream of mine for a long time, and just don't get it why nobody seems to be interested in the property. I understand that the movie was no masterpiece, but the creature is indeed a classic, and a beautiful design I'd invest in any day in a heartbeat.

I really don't like that "Deacon" Alien design, so I'd pass on that personally. But as for the Engineer!
Can you imagine how nice he would look with ECC doing him with their intrinsic resin? I'd love to see that happen. I'd like to see a masked version even more so.

with all those spots, I think it'd be a big challenge for a factory to pull off, maybe a smaller version than mine could be done.

Where did you get yours done anyway? If you don't mind me asking.
Well if the y can pull off a Predator, or a lycan they sure can do this.

the kit was custom, only like 10 made, then finished by Joe Dunaway. The Kothoga has a ton more spots than even my CM Pred. I suppose a simpler paint job could be achieved. I had reference shots of the full 1:1 prop to help guide him.

I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

Agree with you Max, the movie was definitely not a masterpiece, but I like it anyways. The Kothoga is an awesome creature, love the design. I'd be interested if ECC released a maquette or something.
And Azurepred, that Kothoga you have is awesome

thanks, I tried to sell it once before, but got nothing but low ball offers, so he's been a keeper ever since then. He goes better with my collection now that it's mostly monsters now.

Was this Kothoga done by Galileo Hernandez?

Most of the pieces released by ECC so far have been from films that Steve Wang personally worked on, he did the Reaper designs for Blade 2, he did the creatures for Underworld, he worked on the MIB creatures with Rick Baker, he produced, directed and did the effects for Guyver.
Here's some other films that he worked on -
Gremlins 2
Beetlejuice
Batman returns
Evil Dead 2
Monster Squad
Harry and the Hendersons
Nightmare on Elm street 5
I'd say there is a good chance we will see something from ECC from at least one of these films.

Amazing! Well you are very lucky to have one! Yes maybe you are right about the paint job, but I'm still hoping.

Yes, I noticed that pattern emerging as well here. If that's the case, then I wouldn't mind them doing another Tatopoulos design he supervised: the creatures from "The Cave". I think those are awesome designs as well. The movie was far from perfect, but tell me that those creatures weren't looking amazing!
