Gym music / lifting weights
Hey all, I think I'm finally back to my old routine and getting back into the weights. Unfortunately I had my iPod stolen so I'm building a new playlist on spotify. Looking for some new gym music if anyone can recommend anything? I'm partial to the more aggressive stuff like angry rap and heavy metal, a little trap/edm in there.

Thanks for all the recommendations!!
Going through them..
Wretched is good, I really like them, very technical
Demon Hunter - Beheaded is now on the playlist, through the black is exactly what I'm looking for. Infected not so much.
Born of Osiris - Freefall makes the list!
Blood in the gears does too - really like this one. I listened to a bunch of The Showdown and I really like them, Temptation come my way is awesome.
Didn't really care for Ongoing Concept or Halsey.
Edit - why are some songs by The Showdown so hard while others are.... not?
But thank you for this list and introducing me to a bunch of new music I hadn't heard before, I really appreciate it!

OMG -- this is ironic because I was just thinking of the same thing the other night while I was sweating on the arc trainer! Need to change up my tunes.
What I lack is the rock in my list. I have pop, rap, hiphop.
I like to work out to some Kesha songs (Don't Stop and Die Young). Also, Nirvana's Breed is a oldie but goodie if you are looking for some random songs.

The showdown does what ever the showdown wants. Their second album was a soft country rock album. It was a HUGE step away from their debut metal album. But they did what they wanted to do, and for that I respect them.
If you want some straight up crazy ----, try these bands
The Red Chord
Into The Most
Psyopus
Ion Dissonance
See You Next Tuesday (amazingly talent but just as amazingly crazy)
Beneath The massacre
I'm not saying the above bands are bands I like. But I feel it's stuff every metal fan should at least experience once.
Here's a few more I think you would like
Becoming the archtype - beyond adaption
The Agony Scene - scapegoat
For Today - devastator, Broken Lens
Sleeping Giant - Gang Signs
Earth From Above - The Antidote
