I got notice of Dark Talon pre order cancellations, now today... we get the notice that Oola and Luke Bespin Statue are cancelled.

WTF is going on at GG?

Wow, I guess GG is not going to be turning the corner after all. I'm inching closer selling off the entire collection. I gotta feeling they may lose the license if they aren't able to sell enough product. They might be blaming the economy, but I don't think that will hold much water when Sideshow can sell pieces that cost 4X the price.

This happened to some folks with the Snowtrooper as well. Seems Diamond canceled some items due to the LONG pre-order delays. Supposedly Diamond planned to re-solicit it once it's closer to the actual release date. I'm betting this is what's going on with these items.

Have they been completely canceled or just postponed?? I'm totally confused. I have all 3 on pre-order through a retailer. I have no problem waiting as its something I've grown accustomed to with GG but it would be a shame if these were never to be released. WTF?

MY (I want to stress it's just my opinion) understanding of it is that Diamond probably has some sort of time limit, and since GG can't get anything out on time, they just cancel their order and subsequently whoever they distribute to has to cancel as well. Once they get closer to the REAL release date, not the original guestimate GG made when it first went up for pre-order it will get re-ordered by Diamond and again be available. But in the mean time, all those pre-orders get canceled.

I have a feeling that some stores just cancel anything that their distributor cancels, while some stores don't do that, and just leave it up as available and customers never know what happens behind the scenes.

I'm not happy with GG right now either and if Oola and Darth Talon are cancelled I'll be even more pissed.
Quite frankly I don't care if the Bespin Luke got cancelled it was a horrible likeness anyhow and I hope they put it out of it's misery. Maybe they should go back to the drawing board and make a luke that actually looks like Luke. Sideshow can do it, Why can't they?
