ARCHITECTURE OF LIFE

ENTEI RYU

is an artist, sculptor, and concept designer for film and games. ( FFXV1, Assassin's Creed, Death Stranding, Total War ...)

She earned her graduate degree from the University of Tokyo's architecture department and spent seven years studying architecture around the world before contributing unique world-building designs to some of the most renowned games and films today.

Life, energy, and nature are perpetual themes in Entei Ryu's creations. Her artistic style combines the aesthetic beauty of Western classical forms with the sensitivity and powerful dynamics of Eastern ink painting. Whether in the virtual or real world, in three dimensions or on a flat canvas, Her style is highly recognizable across various media.

Very creative and imaginative but too commercial and anime-heavy. Interesting work nonetheless.

The concept of Teddygun is quite interesting with the blending of something that represent violence (Guns) and something one would normally consider sweet, tender and innocent (Teddy Bears).

It instantly brings to mind news of violent crimes committed by young kids in recent times - lost innocence replaced by senseless violence.

The image of a gigantic teddy bear might look benign and sweet but look closer to discover the thousands of little guns poking out all over. It is a troubling sight to behold.

The fact that the entire teddy bear is painted in black reinforces the sombre idea.
