That's a real shame, I hope they can achieve it with photos and other resources.

Even though I don't think there would be any comparison at all between the final products, I think this pose is too similar to Sideshow's City Hunter. This one would be larger, and most likely of much higher quality, but still, why not start with something a bit more original?

My thoughts too.
The Sideshow/SWS 1:4 Jungle Hunter maquette pose worked OK and that wasn't a movie still.
There have been so many awesome poses in kits, prepaints, comics and fan art that it would seem a shame to use this large-scale opportunity to deliver a relatively boring pose.
Time for something different after all these years.

I don't know, the new SSC P1 is almost exactly the same pose as the CM and nobody seemed to notice. The P2 maquette from Sideshow has a walking movement, it was actually really nice imo. If you're going museum pose like Prime 1 often do, there's only so much you can do. I'm not campaigning for the above by the way, I said myself there are better options. I just think that is likely what we'll end up seeing. I don't necessarily want a screen accurate pose, I'd be more than happy with a totally made up pose so long as it's natural an suits the character. But at this kind of size, it doesn't want to be too dynamic. I guess we'll find out in time.

Honestly don't see the similarity between the CM P1 and the latest one - maybe I misunderstood what you meant
I actually really like the pose of the new Sideshow P1 - but given its many sculpting/art-direction mistakes it was an easy pass - and money was saved for XM + CoolProps + Prime 1 stuff so it's all good

Cross-posting from the other forum (sorry )
With a decent art director, this P2 doesn't have to be a copy of a commonly shared movie pic OR any still from the movie.
Off the top of my head, adaptations from any these would be much more preferable to me:
- The spear stab in the penthouse.
- Any of the kills from the penthouse for that matter.
- King Willie death blow from alleyway.
- Skull-cleaning next to the ships trophy case.
- Scaling the wall.
- The spear swings from the abattoire.
- The gautlet adjust from the abattoire.
- The smartdisc throw from the abattoire.
- The gun smash from the abattoire.
There have also been some great inspired/implied poses released as prepaints (that Kotobukiya piece springs to mind) as well as Garage kits (Hayes' holding the disc for example . . . )

I would love to see an exclusive with the City Hunter holding King Willie's head, if feasible of course. I thought that moment was very iconic in the film.

That WOULD be cool.
Do Prime 1 do "exclusives" or just a standard release?
