Diamond Select DC Comics PVC Statues

First two are due within the month, not sure about the third. There have been some delays at the port of Los Angeles due to overcrowding. Nowhere to park and unload the boats!

I repainted my batman defiant. While I really like it straight out of the box, I felt like it would look much better with a black colour scheme. I’m glad I went with it.

I painted the cape, boots, gloves etc black. Then went in and pre shaded the body. Then I added highlights to the body with a light grey. And finally blended them together with a medium grey. This was all done free hand with my airbrush. The only areas I masked off were the eyes and mouth. I’m really pleased with the end result! What a fantastic sculpt! Cheers for looking and sorry for the side ways pictures!

Is it my imagination or was this statue made from a different material than earlier releases? I also have Superman, Supergirl, Wonder Woman and Lex. This Batman seems like it's made of a softer almost rubbery material.

In terms of material I’m not too sure, I haven’t had many gallery pieces in the past to compare to. The majority of the cape is hard plastic, but the ends are rubbery and can bend. But I will say that the defiant piece has sharper details and better paint compared to others I have had in the past from diamond.

I have a copule of pieces I was sent by DST that I worked on and it seems the same material to me. But can't confirm it
