I don't have any silicone or rooted hair pieces (yet). I don't see silicone as a reason to buy and I mainly collect quarter scale anyway. Silicone (and rooted hair) doesn't necessarily mean the sculpt and likeness is better than other mediums. If a piece came out that I really wanted, I can see myself getting a Silicone piece, it's just not a buying incentive to me, and I see why others may not want it at all

I agree.
The pieces I'm currently hunting are (in my opinion) great pieces that happen to use silicone - I wish this wasn't the case, but there it is. However, in the race to make The Batman, if all things were equal (sculpt, likeness, paint apps, delivery schedule....) I'd leave the silicone variant on the shelf.

Personally, I like characters that have some kind of makeup or mask. It helps with the realism. Our brains know these actor’s faces so well.
Bring on the silicone chin! LOL
Instant PO for me?

This is going to have to really blow out the Blitz version for me to bite. I will be waiting for in hand pics either way unless the ES on this comes back down to Joker levels. Unfortunately, the QS base is an automatic pass for me.

Cinemaquette have been making silicone sculpts forever. A friend of mine has some cinemaquettes for like 10 years out in the open without a single issue. They'll be fine. JND wouldn't bother using it if it was a crap material, and companies wouldn't use it for expensive life size busts if it was bad either. It honestly takes the realism to the next level. If you have never seen a silicone sculpt in person, you'll be blown away when you do.

I'd like JND to try to get some presence at cons so that people can see how real it looks in person.
