I really, really like this sculpt and concept a lot. Very dynamic, which PCS has definitely shown a propensity for (thank you much for that Jerry), but this is IMO a step in an even newer much more detailed direction. Magnficient and am anxious to see when this will go up for PO.

I'm curious as well. This is the kind of character I really want to like as the design is awesome and I enjoy barbarian characters like Conan. I've never read anything of his though and a quick search on Amazon isn't really providing much to go off of.

Can't go wrong with the Horned God, Bisley at his best.
I really like the books of Invasions too...
Everything I've personally read is great, it's like Conan on ac!d...but has some really poignant moments are some disturbing imagery.
I've been reading Slaine for about 10 years, you have NO idea how excited i've been for this statue and these images....well i see this like the XM Darkness....like the Darkness this will be THE ONLY Slaine statue i'll need. Definitive.
Goddamn!
Edit : Jerry! Will you be showing him at SDCC? This is the sort of piece that will turn heads!

I'll echo DGK's recommendations of The Horned God and Books of Invasions - both are sound choices.
I'll also add Lord of Misrule, Lord of the Beasts and Demon Killer to the list. Can't go wrong with any of those either, IMO.

This sculpt is insane! I don't know the character - I'll go hunt for the books to see what he's about - but even if I don't like them I might even pick this up for the art alone. It's a real eyecatcher.
